It is a comprehensive solution available in two versions. The first one includes dedicated hydrological-meteorological measuring stations together with the HydroProg flood protection; the other one is the protection itself, which can operate on the basis of data coming from the customer’s already existing measuring networks. HydroProg can be applied in areas where no hydrometeorological monitoring system exists or can be run on an existing measurement network. Measuring stations are made of environmentally friendly materials and equipping the stations with solar panels ensures independence from external energy sources. The system has been designed by scientists of the University of Wrocław in the Department of Geoinformatics and Cartography in cooperation with a Polish entrepreneur. HydroProg is a technology wholly developed and produced in Poland.

HydroProg is an early warning system for authorities, emergency centres and the public about impending hydrological threats. The system sends alerts on potential surges and floods, collecting real-time data using innovative gauging stations and automatically forecasting water levels based on multiple hydrological models. Results can be tracked on a convenient interactive map and graphs of data and projections.
